Hi, i'm jenny!

I’m a lifetime Southsider who attended Southport High School and then Indiana State University. I received degrees in elementary education and early childhood development. I also worked on my master’s degree with Indiana Wesleyan University.

About Jenny

I still live on the Southside, my husband Matt is a commercial banker. I have one daughter in college and my son has graduated with a communication degree. I spend my downtime working with girl’s athletic leagues, camping, hiking or reading a great book. I’m also active in our local church and host a small group.

I started my career as a teacher and served in several different grade levels my last role was kindergarten at Clark Pleasant Community schools. I love teaching and miss my kids dearly but it was time for a change.

In 2016, I began exploring career options and seriously considering insurance. I took several different trainings and classes to get a feel for the industry and begin planning my career change. Since then I haven’t looked back. I tell people I’m still a teacher at heart the difference is that there is no recess and I’m teaching about insurance.

Insurance is an interesting product.  It’s an intangible product that’s basically agreement to cover a future losses. Most people shop based on price and some are very disappointed when there’s an actual claim.  I really enjoy helping people understand how it works and what it covers that way there’s no surprises if you have a claim. I love digging into the details with my clients to make sure that they have a thorough understanding of their exposures and the coverages that protect them.
